THINGS TO DO LOCALLY

There is lots to keep visitors of all ages busy during a holiday at Oonavara.  There are two beaches in Rhosneigr, Main Beach which is good for rock-pooling, swimming, sailing, kitesurfing, stand up paddleboarding, and is also where the boats launch. All non-motorised equipment (and lessons) can be hired from the surf shop on beach road or Gecko on the high street.

To the south of the house, there's Broad beach which is the surfing spot and there are lovely walks to be had through the dunes at the back of the beach and round Maelog lake.

There are lots of spots to eat out in Rhosneigr itself, and once these are exhausted, there are further family-friendly spots in Treaddur Bay about 20 minutes away.

we have left a selection of leaflets highlighting organised tourists activities on Angelsey at the house to plan adventures further afield. Highlight s include South Stack RSPB reserve and lighthouse, Beaumaris castle and charming town, and Menai Bridge which is a picturesque town full of great restaurants.
